It is possible that you might need rewiring services if:
- You smell burning when you turn on the light.
This could be very serious and could be the beginning of an electrical fire. Please call us immediately if you notice this – we will respond to emergencies 24/7. Turn off your lighting and do not attempt to switch it back on until an electrician has examined your wiring. - Lights flicker when you switch them on.
First things first, try changing your light bulb, as this is the most common cause of flickering lights. If, however, this doesn’t make any difference, you might have a more serious problem on your hands. Contact an electrician so they can look at your wiring and carry out diagnostics. - Fuses blow and circuit breakers trip.
The fuse and circuit breaker is an electrical safety feature that will cut off a circuit when too many amps pass through it. If your fuses are blowing and circuit breakers tripping on a regular basis, you could have a faulty appliance, or it might be a sign your wiring is getting worn out. - Your lighting doesn’t work in the way you want or expect it to.
For example, if you were to change the layout of a property as part of a refurbishment (maybe you are turning a house into a flat, or significantly changing the floorplan), you may need a rewire to ensure the lighting functions as you need it to.
